ROLE SUMMARY

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Project Engineer to join our team in the construction industry. In this role, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing project execution to ensure timely and successful delivery.

You will review system designs, supervise installations, and manage communication with key stakeholders. Strong technical expertise, organizational skills, and attention to detail are essential for maintaining project quality and ensuring compliance with industry standards.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist in project planning and scheduling to ensure timely execution and alignment with project goals.
  • Coordinate with project stakeholders, contractors, and suppliers to facilitate smooth operations and address project requirements.
  • Attend site meetings as required, representing the company professionally and providing technical insights.
  • Ensure timely submission of personal timesheets, expense reports, project tracker updates, and other required documentation on a weekly basis.
  • Review system designs before installation, identifying and resolving technical, functional, or compatibility issues while ensuring compliance with project specifications.
  • Supervise and manage installation teams, including internal technicians and local service partners, to ensure high-quality workmanship and adherence to project specifications.
  • Provide regular progress updates to the Project Manager, supporting effective resource planning and project execution.

 

REQUIREMENTS:

Qualification & Field of Study: Degree or Diploma in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.

Experience: Minimum 3 years of industry experience in project engineering within the construction sector.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Proven organizational skills and experience with troubleshooting security systems and installations.
  • Strong practical aptitude with the ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and make informed decisions.
  • Capable of working under pressure to meet deadlines and prioritize effectively.
  • High standard of work and a positive, “can-do” attitude.
  • Commercial awareness and ability to manage project budgets effectively.
  • IT literacy, preferably in MS Office. Knowledge of AutoCAD is an added advantage.
  • Familiarity with IP technology and basic networking knowledge (e.g., Cisco, TCP/IP, routing, switching).

 

GOOD TO HAVE:

  • Experience in the construction industry and familiarity with construction project management tools.
  • Proficiency in communicating with Chinese stakeholders, as the client base is primarily Chinese.
  • Additional certifications or knowledge in advanced construction systems or network management will be a plus
