Our client is a Singapore-based solution provider with years of experience in providing secure, reliable and state-of-the-art security solution.
They are looking for a data analyst that will play a pivotal role in deploying, managing, and supporting databases and data lake platforms.
The person will
- implement strategies for high availability, disaster recovery, and database security, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
- identify and resolve database issues, optimize performance, and contribute to the enhancement of client data warehouses and data lakes.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Deploy, manage, and support databases and data lake platforms.
• Develop and implement strategies for high availability, backup, recovery, and disaster planning.
• Identify and resolve database issues and performance bottlenecks.
• Implement database security policies and best practices.
• Enhance client data warehouses, data lakes, or equivalent platforms.
• Maintain documentation such as design documents and troubleshooting guides.
REQUIREMENTS
• Knowledge and/or experience in Database Administration.
• Proficiency with Linux operating system and scripting.
• Familiarity with Hadoop distributions (e.g., Cloudera, Hortonworks) and/or relational databases (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL) and/or NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Neo4J, CosmosDB).
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
Education:
• Diploma/Degree in Computer Engineering/Computer Science/Information Technology or related technical discipline
• Preferably 1 - 4 years of working experience in related fields.
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply
GOOD TO HAVE
• Experience with data virtualization tools (e.g., Denodo).
• Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., PL/SQL, Python, T-SQL).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure).
• Knowledge of Docker/Kubernetes environments.
