The IT Director is responsible for providing strategic leadership and oversight of the organization’s IT functions. This role ensures alignment between technology and business objectives while driving IT transformation initiatives.
Key focus areas include operational excellence, cybersecurity, compliance, and vendor management, ultimately enhancing patient care and operational effectiveness.
RESPONSIBILITES:

Strategic IT Leadership:
- Formulate and execute the organization IT strategy, aligning it with business goals.
- Lead IT transformation efforts, optimizing IT operating models for cost-efficiency.
- Collaborate with Group IT on strategic initiatives and projects.

IT Operations Management:
- Oversee core IT functions, including infrastructure management and system risk management.
- Ensure smooth operation of enterprise-wide systems across all organizational sites.
- Implement IT service delivery frameworks to maintain high availability and performance.

Cybersecurity & Information Security:
- Develop and execute the information security strategy, ensuring robust policies are in place.
- Oversee response to information security incidents and collaborate with stakeholders to mitigate risks.

Compliance & Regulatory Oversight:
- Ensure IT compliance with healthcare regulations and organizational policies.
- Manage IT outsourcing arrangements, ensuring adherence to local and international regulations.
- Stay updated on regulatory changes affecting IT operations.

Vendor & Partner Management:
- Lead vendor selection, contract negotiation, and performance monitoring for outsourced IT services.
- Collaborate with external providers to maximize utility and cost-effectiveness.

Budget & Resource Management:
- Manage the IT budget, ensuring appropriate allocation of resources.
- Optimize resource utilization while balancing financial constraints.

Team Leadership & Development:
- Provide guidance and mentorship to IT managers and staff.
- Oversee workforce planning, talent development, and succession planning within the IT department.

Stakeholder Management:
- Work closely with senior management and clinical leaders to align IT strategies with organizational goals.
- Participate in key organizational committees to represent IT interests.

IT Governance:
- Establish and maintain governance frameworks to manage and control IT activities.
- Oversee IT project management to ensure projects meet business goals and budgets.
REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field (advanced degrees preferred).
- Minimum of 15 years of relevant IT experience, with at least 10 years in leadership roles.
- Proven track record in managing IT transformation and change management in complex environments, preferably within healthcare or regulated sectors.
- Strong leadership abilities and effective communication skills with senior leadership.
- Extensive knowledge of IT governance, cybersecurity best practices, and data privacy laws, particularly in healthcare
- Relevant certifications such as ITIL, PMP, CISSP, or other IT management qualifications are preferred.
Good to Have:
- Experience in managing vendor relationships, including outsourcing and service level agreements.
- Strong financial management skills, particularly in budget management and resource optimization.
- Proven expertise in navigating complex regulatory environments and ensuring IT compliance across jurisdictions.
