RESPONSILBILITIES
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior SAP BASIS Consultant with a robust background in both implementation and support.
The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience with various operating systems, databases, and SAP environments, with a solid understanding of high availability, disaster recovery, and ITIL processes.
Implementation and Support: Lead and manage SAP BASIS implementations, upgrades, and support activities, ensuring successful project delivery and system stability.
System Administration: Perform installation, configuration, and maintenance of SAP systems, including version upgrades and patching for both application and database layers.
Database Management: Administer and support various databases such as DB2, Oracle, HANA, MS SQL, and Sybase/ASE, with a focus on performance optimization and troubleshooting.
Operating Systems: Manage and support SAP environments across multiple operating systems including AIX, Linux, and Windows.
High Availability & Disaster Recovery: Design, implement, and maintain high availability and disaster recovery solutions to ensure business continuity.
Clustering: Oversee OS-level clustering to enhance system reliability and performance.
Preventive Maintenance: Conduct regular preventive maintenance activities to ensure optimal system performance and mitigate potential issues.
ITIL Processes: Apply ITIL best practices in managing SAP systems and processes, contributing to improved efficiency and service quality.
REQUIREMENTS
Experience: Minimum of 7 years of experience in SAP BASIS, with a blend of implementation and support experience.
SAP HANA: Practical experience with SAP HANA and associated technologies.
Netweaver Products: Exposure to Netweaver concepts and products such as S/4HANA, Fiori, SolMan, Enterprise Portal, etc.
Certifications: SAP certification is preferred.
Technical Skills: In-depth knowledge of OS (AIX, Linux, Windows) and databases (DB2, Oracle, HANA, MS SQL, Sybase/ASE).
Knowledge: Familiarity with high availability and disaster recovery strategies, and ITIL processes
Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to work effectively under pressure.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact with stakeholders at all levels.
