RESPONSILBILITIES We are seeking a Technical Sales Engineer (TSE) to join the Sales team. In this customer-facing role, you will partner with Sales, Engineering, Product, and Client Success teams to drive revenue growth through new logo acquisition, renewals, and client expansion.
As a TSE, you will serve as a trusted technical advisor to prospects and customers, helping articulate the value of our services across streaming, broadcast, and telecommunications industries. You will be responsible for assessing customer needs, demonstrating product capabilities, and supporting the technical aspects of complex sales cycles.
This role requires a technically skilled and business-savvy individual who can engage deeply with customer engineering teams while also supporting sales strategy and deal execution.
Provide technical expertise and pre-sales support throughout the sales cycle.
Understand and assess the technical requirements and challenges of prospective customers.
Lead and support technical deep dives with customer teams.
Translate complex customer needs into technical solutions and product recommendations.
Partner with the Product team to relay customer requirements and contribute to the product roadmap.
Collaborate on pricing strategy and proposals for new business and expansion opportunities.
Support the completion of RFIs, RFPs, and technical security assessments.
Stay current on market trends, competitive offerings, and identity protocols to inform sales strategies.
Qualify technical fit of prospects by conducting discovery calls, solutioning workshops, and architecture reviews.
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent technical field.
10+ years of software engineering or technical experience, including 3+ years in a pre-sales or customer-facing technical role.
Hands-on expertise in Identity & Access Management (IAM), including standards like OAuth2, OpenID Connect, SAML, and related API integrations.
Experience working with authentication, authorization, and user lifecycle management, ideally in the media and streaming ecosystem (e.g., MVPDs, OTT apps, content aggregators).
Strong understanding of cloud architecture, security protocols, and compliance frameworks (e.g., SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR).
Proven ability to present technical solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills. Independent and Accountable.
Highly organized with the ability to estimate and report work efforts accurately.
